Morton Photographic Society is celebrating over 45
years existence in Carlisle, the most northern city
of North west England . . . and being situated on
the edge of the Lake District and only a short distance
from Scotland with its rolling landscapes, Carlisle
is bound to attract large numbers of people just wanting
to record these marvelous vistas.
Morton Photographic Society are a small group of
these enthusiasts, who meet every Thursday evening
at 7.30 (during their season - September to April)
to share their experiences, friendship, ideas and
just generally socialise with like minded people.
We believe this socialising is a natural progression
within our chosen hobby and a way of getting more
from our hobby. As well as providing entertainment
and, for those who want it, extra skills in the art
of photography. Here at Morton we believe it's not
so much about the equipment that takes the photograph
- but more the end result of the finished picture
that means the most . . . and as a club, we will help
with knowledge from past experiences to assist members
to get that great end result.
